Synopsis for "Smuggler's Blues"
It's a new day in New Gelaph and as usual, trouble arises when a couple of criminals smuggle something highly valuable into the city. The cops locate the criminals, but are willing to be bribed to let them free. The crooks agree, but they double-cross and kill the cop they were dealing with, causing his partner to attack the criminals in turn. The criminals use their superior firearms and the second cop is killed, while only one of them died at the hands of the cop.
The news soon make it to the Police Department, where Lt. Alex Sinclair learns the name of the dead cops and criminal, while he was discussing the events with his niece, Mercy. Mercy recognizes the name of the deceased crook and she heads out to investigate and put an end to the activities of the leader of the smuggling gang: a man called Stravin.
Trekker goes to Volcano Alley, the worst part of New Gelaph in order to interrogate Lazmusi, a man with connections to Stravin and information about his whereabouts. As Trekker interrogates Lasmuzi, Stravin's thugs try to murder him, but Trekker manages to save him and eliminates the would be killers using a special weapon. After the event, Lazmusi tells Trekker all he knows about Stravin's location.
Trekker returns home, where she goes to grab some food as Mercy with her friend Molly. Mercy tells Molly about her new mission to bring in Stravin and claim the high reward on upon the man, which makes Molly worried as the bounty doesn't care if the man is brought dead or alive.
Later, Trekker goes to the underground tankers of the city, where Stravin and his men have set up a base of operations. Using various gadgets and night vision goggles, Trekker makes her way across the dark tunnels underneath the city. She eventually comes across Stravin and his men, who start shooting blindly at her. The darkness prevents them from seeing Trekker and thanks to her night vision gear, she manages to take them down without effort.
The last man standing is Stravin, who goes to the chamber where they have gathered all the smuggled content. Trekker finds out that they have been smuggling an alien species with the intention of setting it free and provide resources for consumption. Trekker intends to stop Stravin and take him with her, but the fanatic activates a bomb, blowing himself and the smuggled species in a massive explosion, which Trekker barely manages to avoid.
Trekker is frustrated as she couldn't claim Stravin's bounty, because there was nothing to deliver to the authorities. Fortunately, many of his men were wanted people and she made some money from their capture.
In the aftermath, Mercy goes to Molly's place, where she falls asleep unintentionally and wakes up at the break of dawn in a new day in New Gelaph.
