Synopsis for "Parallel, Interlude"
Danny reunited with his mother in Cooperville, as Control tracked him down and before she revealed to him that Hilltop was his father. Meanwhile, Hilltop gave an order to find and kill Amanda Watson and told Sally that she had performed admirably after he planted her within Control's circle. In Russia, the Project Omega mutates interrogated Tony on the whereabouts of other Next Men, although she revealed that there was only Danny left, aside from the ones they had already encountered.

Synopsis for the 2nd Story
Amanda wrote in her diary about meeting Hilltop for the first time, becoming his personal secretary, becoming his lover, running away from him, and meeting Mark IV before finally staying with her mother. After hearing a scream, Amanda rushed downstairs and saw that her mother had fainted after Mark IV had taken the form of her late father. As Amanda's mother attempted to process how Mark was able to do so, they were attacked from outside of her house.
