Synopsis for the 1st Story

Lieutenant Kellaway has to face pressure from the media and the Police Department after he has been connected to the crimes of "big head" by a junky, who witnessed the Mask in action. Kellaway feigns wrath at the allegations, but the truth is that things aren't looking good for Kellaway.

Meanwhile, Don Cesare Mozzo learns about the murder of one of his top drug dealers, Eugene Rapaz, and he assumes that it was a hit from enemy mob boss, Cincini. Although Mozzo also suspects Kellaway, his suspicions are thrown off by Kellaway's police reputation and instead, he organizes a hit in one of Cincini's restaurant headquarters.

That night, Kellway is supposed to meet with the witness of "big head", but he goes as the Mask in order to threaten the man and scare him out of town to prevent him from giving him away. With the only witness who could've jeopardize his activities gone, the Mask goes on a rampage again during the whole night and the next day, a beat and tired Kellaway is very late to work. His partner, Lionel tries to warn Kellaway, but the warning comes too late as the Captain confronts Kellaway outside the PD and sends him on a day off after the mysterious disappearance of the witness.

Kellaway loses his temper and gets into his car, where he turns on the radio to learn about Mozzo's attack on Cincini's restaurant at broad daylight. In order to recover his lost reputation, Kellaway goes to the place, where there are several reporters and the entire media broadcasting the hostage situation and he acts as the "brave police officer who will save the day". Of course, once inside, Kellaway uses the Mask to dispose of all of Mozzo's enforcers, before walking out of the place as a hero. Although the hostages are safe, the Captain shows at the scene and fires Kellaway from the police department at the Mayor's request.

A defeated Kellaway returns home without a purpose in life anymore, but his concerns are thrown aside when he realizes Katherine is waiting for him at the doorstep, telling him to give the Mask back, as she watched the "heroic act" on TV and she has deduced the truth.
